Rodri Explains Why Man City Will Beat Arsenal To League Title

Spanish midfielder Rodri explained why Man City will beat Arsenal to league title for the second consecutive time after depriving Mikel Arteta and his boys the opportunity to win the trophy last season.

Arsenal were the best team for the major parts of last season, the Gunners blew away their opponents to remain at the top of the top until the final weeks when they succumbed to pressure and gave the Cityzens the opportunity to win the title for the third consecutive times.

Similar to last campaign, Arsenal are the league leader with a point above Manchester City in the second place. However, while the Gunners only have four matches left to play this season, Pep Guardiola’s side will play five due to their game in hand. Therefore, both teams have a chance to claim the title in the next coming days.

Speaking amid the tight title race, Rodri explained that Man City will make use of the treble-winning documentary title and the experience gathered last campaign to fight for the league glory again.

“There’s a reason the documentary is called Together! That is what we are,” said the Spaniard ahead of Sunday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder who has started almost all the City games this season insisted that both his teammates and other staff at the Etihad are working together for a single goal; therefore, they will go for the league title again.

“All of my teammates, the coaches, the staff behind the scenes, we are all together and fighting for the same goals for the team,” he said via Mail Sport

“My teammates are incredible and what we continue to do each season is something I am really proud of. We all have the mentality to fight for everything, to win every game and that will never stop. We are always there for each other, and it is a special group to be involved in.

“The feeling of lifting a trophy with our fans is something special and you want that feeling again and again. We are creating a legacy and we always want that taste of success.”

Manchester City Determined To Make History

Manchester City are motivated to win another league title not only because of the accolades that come with it but also the opportunity to create a fantastic record in the history of the English top-flight league.

Rodri declared world's best player in his position and in Premier League

A victory for the Cityzens in the remaining five league games will make them the first team to win four consecutive league titles in a row, and this has been the driving force for the entire team.

“It would be history. No team has won four Premier League titles in a row and we want to be the first. We need to keep those blue ribbons on the trophy and we will do everything we can from now until the end of the season to do that,” Rodri said.
