‘Just Unbelievable’ – Jack Grealish Says Man City Are Very Special

Jack Grealish claimed that Man City are very special as a team because they have done what most teams with many experience and versatile football players failed to do.

The English international was a key member of the City squad that overcame numerous obstacles last season to achieve a historic treble. Stationed on the left flank, he made significant contributions to the team’s offensive efforts, proving to be a formidable force that many opponents both domestically and internationally struggled to contain.1

Due to the exceptional performances of the Cityzens, there were debate surrounding the title of the greatest Premier League team in history, with comparisons drawn between last season’s Man City squad and the 1999 Manchester United team that achieved the treble under the esteemed leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Without a doubt, both Ferguson’s team and Pep Guardiola’s City team deserve special recognitions. Therefore, Jack Grealish believes that the City team are special because they have what other teams of talented players lack.

“I’ve said in a lot of interviews that, for me, the team I’m in now – and especially last year – it’s just unbelievable, the togetherness we have. Over the years, there have been so many top teams in the Premier League that haven’t done what we’ve done,” Grealish said during an exclusive interview with Sky Sports.

The English player, who had 11 assists and five goals across all competitions last season, stated that even the star-studded City squad of 2018/19 and the legendary Manchester United team of 2008/09 could not achieve what they did last campaign.

“Even City’s team in 2018/19, with David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne and Man United’s team in 2008/09, with Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez – none of these teams won the treble.

“That says something about our team because you can have all of the talent in the world, but you need to have the other side of it as well, like that togetherness of the pitch. That’s something we had so much of and we’ve got it this season as well.”

Manchester City To Win Domestic Double Again

The Cityzens are on the verge of replicating what they did domestically last season. Over the past few years under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, Manchester City have become a dominant force in the English top-flight league.

The Sky Blues have established an unparalleled dominance in the Premier League title race, won the title three consecutive times. They are also poised to claim victory once more, solidifying their status as the first team in history to achieve such a remarkable feat.

The remaining 19 Premier League clubs are striving to keep pace with Pep Guardiola’s team, often finding themselves lagging behind. Arsenal are the only team that have managed to challenge City’s dominance, although they faltered when it truly mattered last season. But they are once again in the running alongside the reigning champions this campaign.

Similarly, City is on the verge of securing another Emirates FA Cup title following their triumph in the previous season. The Cityzens emerged victorious over their local counterparts, Manchester United, with a score of 2-1 in the final match last year, and they are set to go head-to-head with the same opponent once more at Wembley Stadium on the 25th of May.
