“We Want To Win All” – Pep Guardiola Sends Warning To Rivals

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has issued a warning to Man City rivals in the Premier League, the Emirate FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. The City boss claims that his side are ready to win all the trophies to replicate what they did last season.

Manchester City on Saturday progressed to the semi-final of the Emirate FA Cup after defeating Newcastle United 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Bernardo Silva was the goal scorer of the day. The Portuguese scored the first goal at the 13 minutes of the match and added the second at the 31 minutes. Even though the goals were scored in the first 45 minutes, the Cityzens dominated the match from the start to the end.

With two more wins to retain the FA Cup title they won against Manchester United at Wembley last campaign, Pep Guardiola’s side remain the favourite to lift the trophy again.

Similarly, they are favoured to win the UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive year and successfully defend the title. The reigning European Champions will take on Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the competition.

A trip to the Spanish capital will come up on the 9th of April before the return leg at the Etihad Stadium. The Cityzens eliminated Real Madrid last season and will hope to progress to the next stage where they will play either Bayern Munich or their Premier League rivals, Arsenal.

In the Premier, they sit at the third position, a point behind the league leader, Arsenal and Liverpool who occupy the second position. Therefore, Pep Guardiola believes that they can win all three trophies, although it will be difficult.

“People talk about the Premier League and Champions League but when you win four Carabao Cups in a row and get to six FA Cup semi-finals in a row, this team and this club has something special,” Guardiola said during an interview after a win against Newcastle United.

“We want to win all of them but sometimes it is not possible because of the quality of the opponents and the schedule we have.”
