Real Madrid star player Vinicius Jr has sent a message to Manchester City captain Kyle Walker who sustained what looks like a hamstring injury during a friendly match between Brazil and England.

While Vinicius has been described as one of the best wingers of his generation, Kyle Walker has also been named as one of the best defenders capable of stopping any winger on his good day. As a result of this, the battles between the duo are exciting to watch for all football lovers.

However, the Manchester City captain couldn’t give Vinicius the challenges he expected during the friendly match between their countries. Walker only played 20 minutes of the match before he was substituted as a result of injury.

Also, it remains uncertain if the England international player will be available for selection when the Cityzens visit Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final early next month.

Meanwhile, Vinicius Jr has expressed his sadness following the injury sustained by the City player, claiming that all the players on the pitch were sad to see Kyle Walker or any other players get injured.

“Ah, it’s all very sad. Every time a player leaves the pitch injured it’s very sad, not only for the player but for all of us who are there on the pitch,” the Brazilian attacker said after the final whistle.

The Brazilian insisted that Walker is the best defender he has ever faced and would like to play against him more often because he always wants to play against the best.

“We want to play against the best, Walker, I always say, he’s the best defender I’ve ever faced and it’s always a very good duel. He respects me a lot and I respect him a lot. Each one defends their side with the greatest will in the world,” he said according to MEN
