Manchester City defender Ruben Dias may not contemplate leaving the reigning Premier League champions anytime soon as he revealed why he will always prefer the Cityzens to any other clubs in Europe.

The Portuguese who has become a prominent player at the Etihad and among the players with leadership qualities in Pep Guardiola’s squad said he decided to stay with a winning team, where he would have the opportunity to always be a champion.

Speaking to the National, Ruben Dias said like many other places, some challenges come with living in Manchester but the mentality of Manchester City to continue winning is enough to make him stay in the City.

“You could be in the most beautiful place in the world but if you are at work and not happy then you are not happy,” he said.

“Imagine whatever you like: sea, sun, snow, whatever. We are in Manchester. It has its bad things and its good things like any other place but mostly we are happy at work and even though we’ve won a lot we know we can win again.

“You ask me where I would rather be? In a place where I can have whatever specific thing I like in terms of living outside work or would rather be in the place that will allow me to keep on winning; I choose the place I can keep on winning.”

Last summer, many Ruben Dias teammates decided to seek fresh challenges after winning the treble with the Sky Blues. IIkay Gündogan joined Barcelona, Aymeric Laporte, and Riyad Mahrez moved to Saudi Arabia and Cole Palmer signed for Chelsea.

Bernardo Silva was also close to a move away from the European Champions due to unfavorable weather conditions in Manchester, but he was too precious to the team and Guardiola couldn’t afford to lose him or lose all in the same transfer window.
