Ready To Fight – Man City Captain Sends Warning To Rivals

Man City captain Kyle Walker has once again said the Cityzens are ready to fight to the end of the season as the Premier League title race remains a three horse-race. Both Arsenal and Liverpool are determined to stop City from winning the title once again, but Man City captain insisted that they will give everything to make history.

The reigning Premier League champions sit at the third position on the league table after a 1-1 draw against Liverpool last Sunday. They are a point behind Arsenal and Liverpool occupy the first and second positions respectively.

Therefore, with 10 more games to play this season, Pep Guardiola’s side have everything to play for and Kyle Walker has confirmed that, stating that it’s a game on.

“It’s exciting to be involved in. As a player,” the Man City captain said while speaking about the title race. “It’s what you want to play in – relishing these opportunities and these rivalries.”

“This is why this is the best league in the world. Players want to come here, play, and compete in this league.

“We went to Anfield to win and put a stance on the Premier League, but the Premier League is not decided by this result. There’s so much football and key, important games to play.”

Manchester City still have many important matches to play. They will welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium in a few weeks before travelling to White Hart Lane Stadium to take on Tottenham Hotspur. The stadium has become a difficult place for them just like Anfield.

“We go into the big period now after the international break and try to clinch these four Premier Leagues in a row. We need to make sure we’re there and fighting until the end, as we always do, Walker added via Daily Star.

“To win three Premier Leagues in a row is fantastic, but to do four, which no one has ever done, that’s what we are striving for – that’s our hunger.

“There’s a lot of football to be played and there’s going to be a lot of twists and turns – as there always is throughout every season. We need to make sure they go in our favour and we’re at the top. We’ll keep fighting.”
