Premier League Title Race Begins – Ex-City Star Tells Liverpool, Arsenal Fans

It seems there will be another interesting English Premier League title race as top clubs battle for the top spot in the first half of the season. As expected, the speculations have begun, and the title prediction and the probability of every team becoming league champions is being discussed.

Premier League title race between Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool

As usual, the Premier League title race for the season is expected to be between the current league leader, Liverpool. The Gunners who are yet to win the title for the past 20 years, and the ever-present Manchester City who have comfortably won the title three times in a row.

While the top two teams are having an impressive campaign so far, Pep Guardiola’s team seems to be struggling. The Cityzens have lost three League matches this season compared to Liverpool which lost just one and Arsenal which lost two.

However, a victory for Man City during a trip to Merseyside has sparked the title race and Gael Clichy believes that the 2023-24 Premier League title race just begins.

The former Arsenal and City star claimed that a win for his former Sky Blue side whom he represented between 2011 to 2017 and helped to win two league titles was what they needed to fight for the title once again.

The 38-year-old assistant coach to Thierry Henry with France under-21s made this known when he appeared as a pundit on Amazon Prime Video’s coverage of City’s 3-1 win over Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

“I felt like this game was going to be the start of the season,” Clichy said post-match. “I really feel like this is the game we needed. Everybody was worried about coming here – a difficult stadium – but I felt it was the game the team needed…if you can perform well and win, the season can go on. I really hope I am right, and I really hope the second game can be won to get closer to Liverpool,” he said as reported by the Mirror
