Pep Guardiola Reveals His Next Job After Leaving Man City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has spoken about where he would like to work after quitting his job as the Man City head coach. The Catalan has made a name for himself and he’s being regarded as one of the greatest coaches of modern football.

He joined Manchester City in 2016 after successful years at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. At Man City, he has won every possible trophy, leading the team to treble victory last campaign.

As a result of this, many Manchester City supporters would like to have the tactics master around for as many years as possible or retire at the club. However, the dream may be unrealistic as Pep reveals that he would like to work as a national team coach before he retires.

speaking to ESPN Brasil this week, as translated and relayed by ESPN, Pep Guardiola revealed his desire to lead a national team to the World Cup or European Championship.

“A national team,” Guardiola responded when asked what is left for him to achieve in the game following a successful career at club level. “I would like to train a national team for a World Cup or a European Championship. I would like that.”

The City boss, however, did not reveal the national team he would like to manage, “I don’t know who would want me! To work for a national team they have to want you, just like a club.”

“When I started in this I never thought about winning a league title or winning the Champions League. No. I thought, I have a job? OK,” Pep Guardiola continued. “I would like to have the experience of living through a World Cup, or a Euro, or a Copa América, or whatever it is.

“I would like that. I don’t know when that would be, if that is five, 10, 15 years from now but I would like to have the experience of being a manager in a World Cup.”
