Man City Star Player To Return To Manchester City Earlier

Jack Grealish, a star player of Manchester City, is expected to return early to his team in order to start preseason training ahead of schedule following his disappointment with the England national team.

The 28-year-old’s unexpected exclusion from England’s Euro 2024 roster came as a shock. Despite missing out on the final matches of the season for Man City due to injury, he was one of six players selected by Gareth Southgate from his preliminary group of 33 players.

Grealish has uploaded video of himself working out at Juventus’ facilities in an effort to get ready for the new campaign. His minutes were restricted towards the end of the previous season due to injury concerns and the performance of his City teammates, so he will be eager to prevent a repeat of that.

The Star claims that Grealish has informed City that he would return a few days ahead of the return date that manager Pep Guardiola had scheduled.

Meanwhile, July 23 will mark the start of City’s preseason friendly; however, those who are not playing in the Euros must return two weeks earlier, on July 9.

Grealish is said to believe that his lack of playing time towards the end of the season contributed to his exclusion from Southgate’s final team. During the last seven games of City’s league season, he only played ninety minutes, and his lone start came in April against Nottingham Forest.

City’s four-game US tour starts in Chapel Hill with a friendly matchup versus Celtic. Before coming back to England on August 10 to play Manchester United in the Community Shield.

They will also play against AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea in the United States. City players without national duties will return earlier than those representing their national teams. On July 14, the Euro 2024 final will be played and City players may make it to the final stage of the tournament.
