It was reported that the Premier League champions are ready to reinforce their midfield and have shown interest in the Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze even though they will have to spend close to €100 million to bring him to Manchester.

The 25-year-old has become a prominent player at Crystal Palace and has attracted interest from many European clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea in the Premier League.

This season, the versatile Premier League midfielder has scored six goals and provided three assists in 22 appearances across all competitions. Eze joined Crystal Palace after coming through the youth ranks of Arsenal, Fulham, Reading, Millwall, and QPR. The Eagle paid £17 million to sign him from Queens Park Rangers.

Since he joined the Eagles, the England international has made 115 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 14 assists in the process. He had also represented England twice.

The midfielder’s contract with Crystal Palace will end during the summer of 2027. However, he might be sold to any club that could afford to pay €90 million for his service and it’s believed that Manchester City are capable of securing his service.

Similarly, the Cityzens are said to have an interest in the Bayern Munich midfielder, Joshua Kimmich. Pep Guardiola hopes to buy the Germany international as a replacement for the departed Kalvin Phillips who left the club on a season-long loan in January and hopes to make the deal permanent.

Another player on Manchester City’s list is the Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. However, the Magpie do everything to keep their star man at the club considering his impact in recent years.
