Jack Grealish speaks about Man City legend, Yaya Toure

The energetic Yaya Toure dominated the league in 2014, arguably the best season of his career or his best year as a Manchester City player. The Ivorian scored 20 goals, including many unbelievable free-kicks.

One of his performance was against Jack Grealish’s Aston Villa. Grealish who was a young and developing player at the time watched Yaya running the length of the pitch to dart past a number of the opposition’s players before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper in vintage fashion.

“Yaya Toure. When he played for Man City against [Aston] Villa in my debut. He was just silly, man. He was unbelievable,” the Englishman who still couldn’t forget what the Man City legend did during the match said.

“Yeah, Yaya Toure was head and shoulders above everyone. It was that season 2013/2014 season, do you remember? Yeah, free-kicks, yeah, I’m sure he scored 20 goals or something in the Prem [Premier League] from midfield,” he said.

Grealish would later grow up to become one of the finest players ever played for Aston Villa. His performance at the Villa Park made him a hot cake for many European clubs until Manchester City secure his service by making the most expensive British player at the time of the deal.

Despite struggling in his first season, he has become a very important members of Pep Guardiola’s team and will hope to once day be described as Man City legend just like Yaya Toure his toughest football opponent.

This season, the English man has improved his game, adding scoring to his game. He has netted three times this season and provided one assist in 12 league game.
