Haaland Or Mbappe? Rio Ferdinand Names His Favourite

Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe have been predicted to take over from the legendary Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who dominated for many years. Therefore, Rio Ferdinand was asked to pick between the Manchester City forward, the Paris Saint Germain attacker, and Harry Kane, the Bayern Munich striker.

All the players are having a great season, the Norwegian striker was on target over the weekend when the Premier League champions welcomed their greatest rival, Manchester United to Etihad Stadium. He scored in the stoppage time to seal the 3-1 victory.

Kylian Mbappé was crucial to PSG’s progress to the next round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. The France international scored twice to lead his side to a 4-1 aggregate against Real Sociedad.

Similarly, Harry Kane was on target twice as Bayern Munich over stubborn Lazio to join PSG in the next round of the European competition. The Bundesliga giants won 3-0 at home as a result of the impressive performance of the England international.

Speaking after the Tuesday night Champions League matches, Rio Ferdinand claimed he would prefer to have Kylian Mbappe in his team to Erling Haaland or Harry Kane.

The former Manchester United player insisted that Mbappé is more talented than the other players. He claimed that he would be happy to watch the France international train let alone play in a match.

Asked by TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods to pick between the players, Ferdinand replied: “Mbappe, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. They’re all great. There’s no bad or wrong answer here really, but… Mbappe man. I’d pay everyday to watch him train let alone play in a match, because he creates things on his own. I can give him the ball at left-back and he might score.”

He added: “I can give him the ball anywhere on the pitch and he could create something. The other two not so much. They are great, don’t get me wrong. But Mbappe’s just got that something different that would make me sit up at night and go: ‘Thank you, God.'”
