Fresh Injury Crisis Hit Arsenal Ahead Of Man City Match

Arsenal may be without some of their star players as a fresh injury crisis hit the club a few weeks before a crucial Premier League match with Manchester City.

It was confirmed that Brazil’s national team was forced to withdraw Gabriel Gabriel Magalhaes from the squad that will play their upcoming friendly fixtures due to what is suspected to be an injury problem.

Gabriel and Saliba have formed a formidable defensive wall for the Gunners this season. Their impact on the pitch made Arsenal one of the favourites to win the English Premier League and also compete with the top European clubs in the UEFA Champions League.

However, Mikel Arteta may have no other options than to play another pair of center-backs when they visited Etihad Stadium immediately after the international break.

According to The Mail, the Brazil national team announced that the Arsenal defender will not take part in their forthcoming matches against England and Spain.

“I had already communicated previously that we will work with a slightly more extensive list,” the Brazilian head coach, Dorival Junior said.

“A pre-call — we can put it that way — and again, today, we had another casualty. Unfortunately, Gabriel Magalhaes is uncalled. In his place, we are calling Bremer from Juventus.”

Gabriel has earned six caps for Brazil after receiving his maiden call-up last year for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru. He has joined his Brazil teammate, Gabriel Gabriel Martinelli to increase Arsenal injury crisis. Martinelli had earlier withdrawn from the national duty after suffering a foot injury during Arsenal’s 6-0 win at Sheffield United.
