Erling Haaland Fires Strong Warning To Man United, Other League Rivals

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has sent a warning to Manchester United and other English top-flight clubs ahead of the Manchester Derby and the Premier League title race.

Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne

Haaland seems to have regained his last season form during the clash with Luton Town in the Emirate FA Cup on Tuesday night. The Norwegian scored five goals after combining brilliantly with Kevin De Bruyne who served as his assist.

Four of Haaland goals were assisted by De Bruyne and the striker admitted that the City everyone knows are gradually regaining their form and ready to attack their opponents.

The next opponent that might be the victims of the recent form of Pep Guardiola’s side is their local rivals, Manchester United, who will visit Etihad on Sunday, March 3. The Red Devils lost their last league match against Fulham and will have a difficult the their hands against City team that have not lost at home in many months.

The reverse fixture in October 2023 ended in a 3-0 defeat for the Erik ten Hag’s men. Phil Foden added a goal to Erling Haaland’s brace to come out victorious at Old Trafford and the Norwegian said the City boys are ready to go again.

According to Metro, ahead of the Manchester Derby, Erling Haaland told ITV: “We made a plan [against Luton] and everyone stuck to it perfectly. Well played by everyone.

“My fitness? I am getting back to my best. Finally, I am feeling good. It’s an amazing feeling. It’s coming, we’re coming. Exciting times ahead.”

Haaland was then asked directly if he was making a warning to City’s title rivals and added: “I don’t need to say it… We are ready to attack.”
