Pep Guardiola may have finally found the perfect player to partner Rodri at the midfield following the report that Joshua Kimmich did not rule out the chance of leaving Bayern Munich this summer.

Kimmich who joined Bayern from the RB Leipzig in 2015 has become an important player for the Bundesliga giants. He was part of the team that continue to dominate the league. And he has won the prestigious UEFA Champions League trophy with his nine years at the club.

The German international player may however decide to seek a new challenge elsewhere with a report that he has failed to extend his current contract beyond 2025.

Kimmich while speaking recently did not rule out the possibility of leaving the reigning Bundesliga champions. He said even though no club has spoken to him yet, he will see what will happen to his future at Bayern Munich.

“No one has spoken to me yet. We’ll see what happens. For me the most important thing is that I perform well, I can’t influence the rest,” he said according Sportskeeda

The midfielder’s statement confirmed the transfer speculations surrounding his future in Germany. With the possibility of him leaving in the summer, Pep Guardiola and many other top managers are said to be interested in his service.

Manchester City may go for him in the summer to replace Kalvin Philips who joined West Ham United on loan in January with the option of making the deal permanent.

Kimmich who has developed into one of the best holding midfielders could join Rodri another fantastic midfielder at the heart of City midfield next campaign.
