Bernardo Silva Names Three Men Behind Manchester City Success

Manchester City success have been attributed to the contribution of some top club officials as the team are undoubtedly the most successful team in England and one of the teams with great achievements across the Europe in recent years.

Bernardo Silva who has been part of the successful journey claimed that the cooperation between the Manchester City chairman, the CEO, the Sporting Director are the backbone of their recent domination across all competitions.

The Portuguese had a great impact in Manchester City’s team last campaign as they went on to claim an historic treble including a victory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final.

Despite being eliminated from the current season of the Champions League, the Cityzens are in a best position to secure victory in four separate competitions. Having already clinched the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, they are now in contention for both the Premier League and the Emirate FA Cup.

According to Bernardo Silva, the club’s success will not be limited to this season as long as there are individuals who share the same vision and determination to achieve further success within the club.

“Everyone is on the same page; from Khaldoon (Al Mubarak, Chairman), to Ferran Soriano (CEO), to Txiki (Begiristain, sporting director), to Pep (Guardiola) – they all want to play the same way. They all want to buy the same players,” Bernardo Silva said during a new feature with the Premier League’s official YouTube channel.

The midfielder emphasized that the members comprising the club’s governing body play a crucial role in their journey to success, surpassing even the significance of the players. He asserted that while players may choose to pursue their careers elsewhere, the board’s unwavering commitment to seamlessly replace those who have departed serves is the reason for the club success.

“Then when you’re on the same page, you have the same idea, you have players with the quality we have. Players make the difference but we could always replace,” Silva said.

“When David (Silva), Kun (Sergio Aguero), or Vincent (Kompany) left, we could always replace them and other players join – people come and go. We were always able to maintain the same level, even with injuries.”

Sergio Aguero and Pep Guardiola

The Manchester City’s recent history would be incomplete without acknowledging the pivotal roles played by David Silva, Sergio Aguero, and Yaya Toure in laying the groundwork for the club’s recent success. They won many trophies with the Sky Blues including the iconic 2012 Premier League title which was won on the final day.

The current City players are determined to enhance this legacy by striving for additional silverware, even after their success in Europe last season.

Rodri Insists Manchester City Can Win Four Trophies This Season

Manchester City midfielder Rodri expressed the club’s unwavering commitment to win two additional trophies by the end of the season. And securing victories in each of their remaining four matches across all competitions will be the key to turning this dream into a reality.

Pep Guardiola’s men are currently trailing Arsenal by a single point in the league standings, but they have a game in hand. This means that while Arsenal still have two matches left to potentially earn 6 points, Manchester City could secure the title by winning all three of their remaining fixtures, which would yield a maximum of 9 points.

They will also compete against their local rivals, Manchester United, in the final of the Emirates FA Cup, aiming to secure the title for the second consecutive year following their triumph over the same opponent twelve months ago.
