Berbatov Sends Scary Message To Chelsea Fans Ahead Of Man City Match

Dimitar Berbatov has told Chelsea supporters to stop dreaming of beating Manchester City in their Saturday Premier League match because the Blues stand no chance to compete with Pep Guardiola’s men, particularly when Etihad Stadium will be the battleground.

The former Manchester United player predicted a 3-1 defeat for Chelsea. He claimed that the Cityzens are too strong mentally to be defeated by the Blues even though they will not underestimate what Chelsea can do.

On their day, City are a beast and they know exactly what to do. Even if a team scores first, City don’t change, they’re strong mentally and they know how to score goals,” Berbatov said as quoted by Sportskeeda

“I don’t think City will underestimate Chelsea because they’re not that stupid because they’re fighting and chasing Liverpool. City are at home so I think it’ll be a win for them.”

Manchester City in recent weeks have become a formidable team. The reigning Premier League and European Champions have finally put the setback they had in November last year when they played a 4-4 draw with Chelsea behind them.

The return of Kelvin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, and Jeremy Doku, coupled with the form of Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez have handed the City 11 straight wins in all competitions.

A win against Chelsea will make it 12 and give them the opportunity to put more pressure on Liverpool who sit at the top of the Premier League table.

On the other hand, Chelsea have been extremely inconsistent this season, losing two out of their last three league games. A defeat against Manchester City will serve as a setback for their dream of making it to European competition next season.

Similar to Dimitar Berbatov’s prediction, Steve Sidwell, claimed that City will defeat Chelsea 2-0.

“City are on the rampage. They are chasing the pack and on the tails. They are performing well. Chelsea, what’s going on there? I’m not sure. There’s still a few hurdles to jump there. I’m going to go for a City 2-0 win.”
