Here is another top transfer news of the day as Manchester City are keeping tabs on Frankfurt hotshot Luka Jovic with a view to bolstering their attacking ranks this summer.

According to Dailymail Injuries have occasionally left the Premier League champions short though Pep Guardiola has Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus battling to lead the line and both of these strikers are on their top form.

Frankfurt striker Jovic has so far scored 21 goals for the Bundesliga side this season and is also being tracked by Europe giants Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The Serbia international moved to Frankfurt on a two-year loan from Benfica in 2017. Frankfurt intend to trigger a £6million clause in that contract and are likely to then sell at the end of the season.

Man City are monitoring the 21-year-old closely and have been watching every Frankfurt fixture for a number of months.

Jovic can operate in a No 10 role but is predominately a front line striker.. Chelsea have also been linked with him over the past month.

Another player in Guardiola’s main areas for strengthening remain in central midfield and at left back and Ben Chilwell of Leicester City is a good player for that position.
